Shopping cart, tent bills advance

The parks are accessible, but maybe not acceptable.

Homelessness is not acceptable

to sane and caring people. But some others who claim

to be speak for tourists, (really residents and business owners)

decry the presumed obstruction of shopping carts and tents.

This is from the same mental giants that outlawed tents at night

when no one is around and most people are are not in the park,

and made sleeping at night in the park illegal, when most people

are asleep. DUH.

Nestor Garcia has the gumption to stand alone and call spurious

legislation, designed to penalize and outlaw what homeless people

do and what they use, what it is.

His lesser colleagues have again shown there sly and crafty cowardice.

Hey VERNON,
There has been a new response posted to the following discussion on Change.org:
Hawaii's Homeless Are Leavin' on a Jet Plane

----------------------------------------------
They should send all the homeless to kaho'olawe island and let them eke out a living there. We could do helicopter drops of grain like in those UNICEF commercials. Give them some fishing poles and shovels. We could also do some kind of reality show of this and air it on OC16. Now that is what I call a solution! Oh BTW the show could be called "SURVIVOR KAHO'OLAWE" . All the Ad revenue could be used to pay for the helicopter and food.

OR ...

We can buy them and when I say "them" I mean all of them a free ticket to some unpopulated island in the pacific somewhere. We do have the Compact of Free Association with Micronesia. Send all those micros back home. Let's take care of the KAMA'AINA first. We can't even do this. I mean how does these "homeless" micros get public housing ahead of Kama'aina in need of public housing.

HONOLULU CITY COUNCIL - CUTTING FOOD SOURCES

The City Council knows that most meals for the homeless, those with shopping carts included, are served in the parks. Yet they seek to close the park to those with shopping carts.

It's amazing the number of rules in the ordinace,
especially, those I see transgressed almost daily.
People conditioning surfboards, skateboarding,
(park employees) killing birds,
smoking marijuana,  drinking and getting loud (police coming out of the sub-station and asking them if they are OK) children out and about at 2:00am
- not homeless -
and being cussed at by the "adults" that have
charge of them, etc. I mean, there ought to be
a law. Y' na amean?
